Locally Loved Ski Season Kickoff Party — Gear, Beer & Movie Premiere
Mud Sweat n’ Gears Partners with 42 North Brewing Company
For the ones who wait all year for that first run — it’s time.
Back by popular demand, Mud, Sweat n’ Gears is teaming up with 42 North Brewing Company for the 5th annual Gear, Beer & Movie Premiere on Sunday, November 23, 2025, in East Aurora, NY.
This locally loved event has become a Western New York tradition — a high-energy night that brings together everything skiers and riders love most: cold craft beer, live music, fresh gear, and pure mountain stoke. Guests can look forward to live music by Olm Dub System, a huge raffle, and the premiere of Out of the Ordinary presented by Head + Tyrolia Freeskiing Team film — a high-adrenaline look into the world of elite freeriders and the community that fuels them.
Not only has the Gear, Beer & Movie Premiere become a staple for the ski community, but it also serves a purpose beyond the slopes. All raffle proceeds benefit local adaptive ski programs, expanding access to the sport and helping everyone who dreams of that first turn find their way to the snow.
“At Mud Sweat n’ Gears, we’re passionate about sharing the joy of this sport — said Kimberly Reading., owner of Mud Sweat n’ Gears. “This event is our way of giving back — supporting the local adaptive ski programs that make the mountain accessible so everyone can experience what makes skiing and riding so special.”
This year’s celebration will also include participation from several Western New York ski resorts - all coming together to share in the excitement of a new season. It’s a collective effort to kick off winter across the region — every raffle ticket sold helps support adaptive ski programs at these participating resorts including Kissing Bridge, Holiday Valley, HoliMont, Peekin Peak, Buffalo Ski Center and Swain Resort.

1 for $20 | 2 for $35 | 3 for $50
Prizes include skis, snowboards, and winter gear, plus a GRAND PRIZE two-night stay at Mirror Lake Inn in Lake Placid with Whiteface Mountain lift tickets.
And for those already counting down the days until the lifts start spinning, the Warren Miller Entertainment Film Tour presents SNO-CIETY — the official pre-game to the big event.
The 76th annual tour hits the East Aurora Movie Theater on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 (doors open at 5:00 PM, show at 6:00 PM).
